Polls Show the Love for Mass Transit
Three separate surveys conducted by three separate research organizations show that voters remain positive about Proposition 1, the measure to immediately add 100,000 Express Bus hours, expand Sounder Commuter Rail, and build 36 miles of new Light Rail from Federal Way to Lynnwood and east to Redmond that could carry more than one million passengers daily.
These polls show a strong majority of voters continue to support Proposition 1 despite recent economic news.
Key Findings
- Support for the Mass Transit Expansion measure has not changed since April. The results of all three polls are within the margin of error, ranging from 61% in April to 65% in September.
- Half (49%) of the voters in the most recent SurveyUSA poll say they “are certain to vote yes” on Proposition One, compared to only 16% who say they “are certain to vote no.”
- Opposition has dropped 12 points since April, from 32% to 20%.
Remember, we need your continued support to keep this momentum rolling until the election! Read on the methodology of the polls.
